Making it easy

They love whole foods, they love organic foods, they love specialty foods, boy do they love food!... but they want good, healthy food that's cheaper, and as local as possible and hey, living in London this can be rather tricky.

Save us from the supemarkets!

Being the curious types that they are, (being desperate to avoid supermarkets also helped), they started looking around for wholesalers and local producers a couple of years ago. They wanted to see if they could get their food cheaper by buying in bulk as a food club... and they could!... but they sure did get sick of those spead sheets.

Pain in the arse

Their three person food club grew quickly, until it was a riotous 25 people! But instead of getting easier to organise with extra people to help extend the product range, bulk buying just became more difficult.

Their club members had trouble reading the spreadsheets, they wrote the food codes down wrong, they sent the wrong list to the wholesaler, no one was sure how much they had to pay and they forgot what they ordered when it arrived - in short disaster!

Finding the solution!

"There must be a better way!" Our curious chaps were at it again, searching, and researching, - trying to find tools for a food club. But as diligently as Christian and Simon rummaged around, they couldn't find anything anywhere. Whatamacallits aren't too helpful with this sort of thing!

"We'll just have to do it ourselves." they agreed. And so they did, they thought hard about what they liked and what drove them crazy and they talked to their food club to see what they thought. Then they gathered up a team of clever internet people, shoved them into a tiny house in the countryside for three days and got working...

Finding the solution!

... it took a few months longer than one weekend but with loads of dedication and a lot of hard work their new and improved club buying system is here...
